Ain’t Gonna Feel Bad About It

Love, romance, and recovery are some of the inspirations for Ain’t Gonna Feel Bad About It. The title song  “whistling in the dark” is an attempt at bravery to mask disappointment as a relationship ended. This is my most funky/bluesy album. Many of the slow-tempo songs are rock ballads.

There is an original jazz standard, Stare At The Ceiling, that contains chords and a melody that had travelled with me throughout decades before becoming a full-fledged song. This album contains most of the featured songs performed in concert with my 7-piece Ruth King Blues Band during fifteen years at the House of Blues.
