During 2016 through 2021 I set aside my performance schedule and I went on a spiritual “walk about” of sorts. During this time I wrote my memoir and composed a new album’s worth of songs. HOME is what emerged. When it was time to go to the studio to produce, it wasn’t long before a worldwide pandemic changed everybody’s schedule. By the fall of 2021, the record was complete. Grammy-nominated producer, Michael Franklin, took my record’s production foundation, applied his genius, and delivered a masterpiece.

HOME contains everything I had hoped to communicate in song. On the record are many musicians I have spent a lifetime admiring. Charlie DeChant, saxophonist for Hall N Oats, plays sax and flute on several songs. Percussionist Steady Joseph, music director for YES, breathed a new life rhythm into my compositions. HOME contains the song I wrote for Whitney Houston at her passing. By grace, I was able to get the song to her family members for a hoped-for comfort. Also on the album is my “Me Too” song, Indignant.
